There are two ways of downloading a CSV:
- Downloading the manifest of all content, including additional metadata and decisions.
- Downloading the CSV version of a chart.

Avoid downloading CSVs with the intention of further analysis. Do NOT make changes to the spreadsheet and expect those changes to be imported back into Content Chimera. Read Before you download below.
Downloading the manifest

Ordinarily the only times you should download the content manifest is when you are ready to hand off bulk content execution (not decision-making) once you have completed your analysis in Content Chimera.

Step 2. Click on Download content manifest.
Downloading the CSV version of a chart
This feature is most useful if you need to either review the summary numbers directly or if you need to render the chart in another tool. This feature is uncommonly used.
Step 1. Pull up a chart.
Step 2. Click on the gear icon to above the chart to get the advanced settings.
Step 3. Click on Download as CSV.
Before you download
In general, in Content Chimera downloading a CSV should considered a last resort. This is because:
- Content Chimera allows you to explore patterns rather than line-by-line analysis.
- When you do need to look at a tabular list of content, the table below the chart is preferable. This is because, by default, it shows content listed in random order (so that you get a better view of the site or suite of sites rather than top level pages) and also only content that has not already been decided upon. Furthermore, it is tied to the chart, so in some ways you get the best of both worlds.
- Downloading the CSV encourages people to work in the CSV, and this means that things will probably no longer be consistent and kind of put an end to all the advantages of using Content Chimera (unless you are already done with the analysis).
